Kruger National Park
Temporary closure of Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate
The Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate at the Kruger National Park (KNP) is temporarily closed due to severe flooding. Due to the continuous heavy rainfall in both the highveld and the lowveld regions, the low-level bridge is under deep waters making it impassable in both ways.
Currently all gravel roads between Malelane gate and Crocodile Bridge, between Biyamiti and Crocodile Bridge are closed and the only access route is via Skukuza on the main (tarred) road.
Several tourist roads in the Marula Region have been affected as well; mostly those with low water crossings/bridges. The following roads have been closed:
- S25 – from H4/2 to S139
- S114 – from S23 to H2/2
- S4 - from S1 to S3
- S3 – from S1 to H11
- S65 – from S1 to H1/1
Crocodile Bridge gate will remain closed until further notice.
