English batsmen fear his brutality as a bowler and Australians battle to hit runs off his violently pitched deliveries, but to the cricket lovers of Skukuza, he is our friend André.
He is, of course, South African fast bowler and cricket hero André Nel. A player that has reached the pinnacle of any cricketer – playing test cricket for the national side – but, as rumour has it, he loves the Kruger National Park and visits as often as he can, or when his tight programme as an international cricket player allows him to do so.
On Heritage Day, André took the opportunity to play a round of golf at the picturesque Skukuza nine-hole golf course and popped in at the cricket club where a team from Skukuza Primary School were playing their mothers in a fun match.
